Следните визии илюстрират как реките на София могат да започнат да се възстановяват и трансформират чрез различни нива на намеса от минимални подобрения до по-съществени промени. Голяма част от основата вече съществува: инженерни речни корита, прилежащи открити пространства и градска структура, която може да поддържа непрекъсната синьо-зелена мрежа.
Тези визии предлагат промяна в начина на мислене да виждаме реките не като скрита инфраструктура, а като важен елемент на София, който оформя по-свързан, устойчив и благоприятен за живеене град.
Визиите очертават ясен, модулен и поетапен подход, воден от цялостен поглед върху системата, подобно на транспортната инфраструктура. Чрез свързване на вече съществуващата структура и запълване на ключови липсващи елементи, реките могат да се превърнат в неразделна част от ежедневния градски живот.

The following visions illustrate how Sofia’s rivers could begin to transform, through a range of interventions from minimal adjustments to more substantial change. Much of the foundation already exists engineered river channels, adjacent open space, and a city structure that can support a continuous blue-green network.
These visions invite a simple shift in perspective to see the rivers not as hidden infrastructure, but as a defining element of Sofia’s future, shaping a more connected, resilient, and liveable city.
These visions also outline a clear, modular, and phased approach, guided by a holistic view of the system as a whole, much like transport infrastructure. By connecting what is already in place and addressing key gaps, the rivers can become an integral part of everyday urban life.
