Golden Ratio proportion diagrams
The Golden Ratio provides the organising framework for this design. Proportional relationships guide the plan and section, connecting the entrance, living room, kitchen and dining area, and informing the relationship between bedrooms and their adjoining spaces.
Plans
A double-height living space links the kitchen, dining and circulation. Timber slats filter light around the entrance, while proportional relationships organise the rooms. Integrated appliances support a coherent kitchen interior.

Total area: 328 m².
Ground floor: 188 m², excluding the 40 m² garage.

Exterior
Clear building lines are softened by timber slats along the sides, parapets and roof. The design combines the character of a retreat with a strong architectural presence.
The central double-height living and circulation space establishes the rhythm of the house. Broadly symmetrical wings are adjusted by a projecting dining area on one side and a bedroom on the diagonally opposite side.
Interior
Softer interior forms balance the sharper exterior geometry. A restrained interpretation of retro-futurist design, with Japanese influences around the core, aims to create a calm setting for everyday life.
